This free app is ok. The paid app is GREAT. Please add a phone/call log so that I dont have to use another phone app to view my recent calls. If you added this feature to the paid app then it would be absolutely perfect. Id never have to use another phone, contacts, group text, FB sync app since this app does it all.

Used this free version for 2 weeks - Nice n reliable. Features are many and not too hard to tap and locate. VERY GOOD app, plus great developer support showed with good update.
I have tried out 5 or 6 contacts apps and settled on ContactsXL. Some of my review for the paid version is below.
COMMENTS
Excellent! Over 7 months Ive given the app 3 Stars, then 4 Stars for the paid version, and with the new update, 5 Stars. =^) Ongoing support [now prepared for iOS 6] surpasses the other 5 contacts apps Im following long-term.
Its pretty good to access FB in organized ways through different friends News Feed one by one---you can take care most important friends/colleagues easily. And having contacts sorted in groups by ones liking and sending group message---definitely a big YES.
Too bad that it lacks usual FaceBook functions like the menu at left to let you easily access Communities or APPs, and not being able to "search" people or adjust simple settings are also a regret.
Most importantly, if I can also read my RSS feed (through Google service) here, I would definitely pay for the full version and recommend the APP to anyone---but since it cant right now I still have to keep using G-whizz to access RSS feed.
Overall, pretty versatile APP!
Some bad moments
The application is good, the sync with Facebook is very good and also has some facilities to work with the contact list, but the screen asking to become a premium member of app is anoying!!!! It appears all the time.
I am VERY pissed off because I now have no practical recourse for getting back the now deleted contacts and so am giving the lowest Star rating allowed which is 1 star= F; I think that this app is stupidly reckless in its ability to delete not just a copy of ur contacts used through it but also all copies of said contacts. There is NO warning that deleting a contact within this app ALSO deletes it from your Apple created Contact App on your iPhone/Touch AND possibly (if you sync ur device before realizing the contacts r deleted from it) therefore your computers copy aswell!!! This app just lost me $$$$. I am giving it an F!
Whenever I tried to get on the app Id add all the ways to organize it every time. So now I have to add it every time. Plus it wasted my battery like 30%. PLEASE FIX IT ASAP!!!!!!!!!!
I like this app, but come on! I cant delete a contact unless I get the paid version? Thats the only reason Im giving it two stars. Im tired of being nickeled and dimed by "Free" apps. Stop putting out free versions if all you want is for people to get the paid version. This REALLY annoys me.
This ap doesnt do anything at all! You can not even create groups. All it does is tell you if you update to premium then you can create groups!
Not worth installing! False advertising! Basically just lets you see what the ap looks like but everything is locked out in free version!
